Project steps

1: Events: Confirm all team members
All team members have to go through an interview stage, have their job descriptions outlined and all of their contracts signed. Once this is done, the website will be updated with the official structure
2: Artist Development: Networking
Encourage networking among past and present artists to try and get cross-genre collaboration. This will be measured by the amount of live and studio based collaborations we have within the group of artists.
3: Artist Development: Info packs
We're compiling information packs for artists regarding record deals, music legalities, royalties, management and general music information. Packs will also be specialised with music theory (notation, phrasing, etc) for artists seeking more information in that segment.
4: Project aim: Press and Social Media Flooding
Although we have a decently sized press and fan base, this needs to be maximised substantially. We're in the process of building larger links with the press and using our social media outlets 65% more than we are now.
5: Events: Frequency & Location
Over the next 3 years we plan to heavily establish ourselves in Epping Forest, move onto the whole of Essex and have one-off events at venues in Greater London

Planning Ahead

Everything's going really well with MIXUP at this point, just thought we'd update on the success.. We've defined the two segments we operate in; Event Management and Artist Development and specified how everything is going to work. We've outlined who our core team is made up of and how we plan to expand over the next couple of years. The business plans and budgets are finally finished so we can get the ball rolling! Keep your eyes out for the next event; April 30th @ Debden Park High, Willingale Rd, Debden, IG10 2BQ... Doors open at 7.30pm, performances begin at 8pm and the night finishes at approximately 11pm. Check the website for more info: www.mixupevent.co.uk

Project Outlines

Been a while since our last post, been mad busy with A Levels/College lately...

At the moment, we've been working on on the project and outlining EXACTLY what we're going to do for the next event and how how we're going to develop and expand the project.

The last event... happened, with a few hiccups. It was a good night but because of a few mishaps it was a bit pear-shaped from an organisational point of view. But now we know where those weak areas are, we can move forward and implement new strategies to combat those. So we're looking good at this stage, ready for the next set of challenges!

Check out a photo from the last event attached to this post!

We had the auditions for the artists 2 weeks ago and after we decided who was through to perform at the event, we created the poster to go out in the local area and be distributed on social networking sites (Facebook, Myspace etc)

Hello, I would like to introduce you to the Mydesign project which gives young people the opportunity to be creative by making their own T-shirts, Badges, key rings, bags, fridge magnets, bottle openers and medals every weekday at 4.30-6.30 in the summer holiday and term times. Within the summer the project has worked with around 85 children from the age of 7-13 and we are working with five different schools across the Croydon borough. Another benefit of the My Design project is that we can also provide services for other companies through means of T-shirt printing, badge making and a lot more for staff uniforms, promotional purposes and etc. If you are interested in any services we provide please contact us via email: leon@mydesignproject.org or mobile: 07940362877. www.mydesignproject.org
