iDance4

Led by Raymond Pelekamoyo

I threw a one off event for Haiti in 2010, in one night it made over £1000. I will take this a step further and not only focus on Dance but the whole of the Performing arts. We will expand into more cities and engage with more communities offering help

Project steps

1: School Workshops
Find two schools by doing research. Day workshops in different performing arts depending on what type of volunteers we have.
2: Find a Venue for 'Performers Day'
Contact Venues that we research as being a good place to hold the ‘Performers day’ . Then hold meetings to agree date.
3: Performers Contracts
Create Contracts for performers and workshop leaders for 'Performers Day'.
4: Flashmobs
Research what cities have a busy city centre on the weekend. Teach the Flashmob routine to as many dancers possible. This will be for promotion.
5: iDance 'Performers Day'
Promoting and making sure everything such as –Safety, security is in check for the ‘Performers Day’. Inspire as many Yorkshire children as possible

After not being able to secure a venue we thought it would have tarnished our dream of pulling this off.

However, We managed to do small mini performances with different world known dancers and groups round leeds. This made it easier for us to teach the children and youth of yorkshire aswell.
