Project steps

1: Create a design brief
Create an in depth design brief with all the technicalities for creating an app and the features it will contain.
2: Conduct market reseach
Create a survey gathering young people's views on the content they would like to see within the application.
3: Enlist the support of well known people
Find a number of celebrities that are willing to endorse iKnow and record some video messages addressing the needs for universal access to comprehensive sex education
4: Record some stories from young people sharing their experiences
Enlist the help of a video production team to record personal stories from young people who are willing to share their encounter with an STI or their first time at a GUM clinic for the app.

Hello, I would like to introduce you to the Mydesign project which gives young people the opportunity to be creative by making their own T-shirts, Badges, key rings, bags, fridge magnets, bottle openers and medals every weekday at 4.30-6.30 in the summer holiday and term times. Within the summer the project has worked with around 85 children from the age of 7-13 and we are working with five different schools across the Croydon borough. Another benefit of the My Design project is that we can also provide services for other companies through means of T-shirt printing, badge making and a lot more for staff uniforms, promotional purposes and etc. If you are interested in any services we provide please contact us via email: leon@mydesignproject.org or mobile: 07940362877. www.mydesignproject.org

Participate in our online survey!

As part of our project we are conducting a mass survey to collect young people's views on sex education, this information will then enable us to better understand the issue and the current problems, but ultimately allow us to build new resources and tools for the application itself.

We would really love it if you could spread the word and get your friends to fill it out, it literally takes no more than 5 minutes and all the information you give will be kept confidential, it will not go to any third party and if you'd really like to you can request a copy of the final written findings!

Thanks for your time! :-)
