Today we delivered a presentation to the rest of the course and members of staff from the University careers department, and select collaborators, to showcase the project and celebrate our achievements during the course.
Today has been really emotional as we had to say goodbye to the Young Carers and bring the project to a close. We had a celebration evening organized by us to acknowledge the progress of the young carers’ throughout the Creative Carers project.
Today we got the cameras out and made stop animation films from the characters created in the session last week. We combined some of the young carers designs to create three short films which will be shown in their celebration evening
Today we delivered an animation workshop where we created characters for a series of short stop motion films using play dough. This involved designing the characters to be sculpted, creating an original script and the production of the sets.
Meeting with the Young Carers and talking about our ideas, finding out more about what they want to gain from the project and planning workshops tailored to their needs.
Collecting resources for workshops and scheduling in a series of workshops with the Young Carers between now and February 2016. Also organising filming of these workshops and supplying equipment for the Young Carers to be involved with the filming.
Supporting the Young Carers to develop a website to showcase their work and begin to discuss planning an exhibition and film screening, including budget, marketing, space and the potential to tour.
Organising the exhibition and film screening with the Young Carers, promoting the event to the public, fundraising if necessary and teaching the Young Carers professional event management skills.
Holding the exhibition and film sceening, evaluating the project with the Young Carers and beginning to organise taking the work on tour around Lancashire.
